The trail takes walkers from the car park to the Spire which offers extensive views over the surrounding countryside. The trail runs through a mature forest of broadleaved trees (beech) and conifers mainly pine and larch. Walkers can also use the existing forest road network and ancillary trails which form a looped walk but in unmarked.
