The Windfarm Loop follows the Kilbrannish loop and the South Leinster Way on a gentle climb up to a viewing point. Here, the South Leinster Way continues on straight towards its start/end at Kildavin. The Windfarm and Kilbrannish loops turn left and carry on their journey along the forest road. At the next junction the Kilbrannish loop leaves the Windfarm Loop and heads up hill, the Wind farm loop starts its descent back down towards the car park.
Many fine views can be had of the wind farm with its four large turbines, that are situated on the summit of nearby Greenoge Hill. The turbines have an estimated annual output to supply the electrical needs of about 4500 people.
You will also have a nice panoramic view of Mount Leinster and the Blackstairs.
