This trail is named after Charles Bianconi's horse drawn carriage services that passed through the forest in the 1800's. The local Coach Road Inn was a stopping points on one of these routes, it now houses a public house and the local tourist office. Bianconi was an Italian who played a major role in the development of coach services in Ireland, distributing both mail and passengers throughout the country.
The loop begins and ends at Christ the King car park and takes in the Nature Park which includes some quiet spots where you can sit and enjoy the surroundings.
