Ballyhoura Way - Gortavoher

Trail description

The Ballyhoura Way is a long distance waymarked route that covers 80 km.  The route starts at St. John's Bridge in Co. Limerick and ends at Limerick Junction Railway Station in Co. Tipperary.  A 9.5km section of this Way traverses this forest and is indicated by the 'Yellow Man' walking symbol.  This is an especially scenic part of the route that leads the walker across Slievenamuc hill with breaktaking views into the Glen of Aherlow and across to the Galty mountains.   The walker is well catered for in this 'neck of the woods' with many looped trails, information boards and hotels available.
