Old Woodland Walk - Derryvunny
At the beginning o fthis trail, keep an eye out for the source of the stream which lies to your left and runs through the centre o fthe site. The trail takes you through a semi natural woodland with a diverse range of species which include willow, birch, ash, hazel and holly. The site lies within the Carrigeenroe marsh proposed Natural Heritage Area. It contains elongated sledge, a plant of swamp woodland and lake edge communities which is listed as "threatened" in the Red Book data of species.
