Forest Walk - Marl Bog
This walk takes in the duck pond and the wider forest road network, giving the user an opportunity to explore the various different habitats that are present at the Marl Bog. Take time to stop on the back to back timber bridges to view the aquatic life in the stream underneath. It has two long straights which go through the wetter part of the forest. Most of the trees are of the deciduous type on this trail.
Dundrum Athletic Club use this walk as a training circuit many of there athletes who trained for marathons would have ran over ten or more laps of this circuit at any one time. As you come back to join the lakeside red walk notice the tall spruce trees on either side of the roadway.
