Slieve Felim Way - Doonane

Trail description

The Slieve Felim way is a long-distance linear walk that is waymarked by the yellow walking person symbol.  It begins in Murroe village in Co. Limerick and ends in Silvermines village in Co. Tipperary - a distance of 33km.

This section of the Way that is marked from Toor village onto Doonane and through the woods to very picturesque valley of Glanculloo through which the Mulkear river flow.  Glanculloo is one of those hidden quiet gems in the Irish countryside.  The village of Killoscully, made famous by a television series of the same name is at one end of this valley.  This is a stunning section of the Slieve Felim Way that skirts the base of Keeper Hill and allows the walker the opportunity to get off-road for a blissful distance of 11km.  Well worth some exploration.
