This trail is in a area of forestry jutting out into Lough Oughter. It meanders along the lake shore through both conifer and broadleaf woodland Along the route there are excellent views of Lough Oughter. This area of the park forms part of the habitat of mammals and birds that can be seen including foxes badgers and grey squirrel together with jay, magpie and chaffinch. This trail may be inaccessible at certain times of the year due to high water levels on the on the lake system.
