On the Tree Trail you will meet trees from many corners of the world that have taken happily to the Irish Environment. The trail takes you through Eucalyptus trees A grove of trees stand testimony to Augustine Henry (1857-1930) who achieved world recognition as a tree collector and foresaw, for Ireland, the potential of scientifically managed forests.
The tree trail guides you through a showcase of tree species found on the estate, tree species to be found within the trail include hornbeam, Norway and Sitka spruce, European Oak, Western Red Cedar, Giant Sequoia, Silver Fir, Spanish chestnut, redwoods, cedar and larch, Monterey and Scots pine, beech, oak, Sitka spruce and Douglas firs.
The route can be walked in either direction.
