The entrance to the Nature Trail (marked orange on the map) is located around 50 meters from the Hell Fire car park, on the opposite site of the road. For the first 200 meters the trail is linear descending along the gentle slope and then at the crossroad it joins the circular part of the trail. The road leads the walker through the mature forest with a great variety and age range of tree species including beech, oak, lime, horse chestnut, sycamore, ash, Sitka spruce, Norway spruce, Japanese larch, Noble fir, grand fir and western hemlock. There are also remnants of distinctive collections of Asian, American and European trees of great beauty widely dispersed throughout the forest. The eastern part of the loop trail goes along a small river with miniature waterfalls, ponds, and abundance of ground flora species. The trail crosses the stream in several places leading to old walls and a small open space hidden behind them. This area used to be a garden and belonged to the mansion which once stood in the Massey's Estate. Going further along the stream the walker passes the icehouse and then climbs up the hill. After around 300 meters the forest road joins the main crossroad with a path leading to the exit/entrance.
