This trail of approx 3km is a section of the Sligo Way.
The Sligo Way is 73km long which starts at Lough Talt on the Sligo/Mayo border and travels eastwards through the towns of Collooney and Coolaney.The Sligo Way ends at Drumahaire on the Eastern shore of Lough Gill in Co. Leitrim. The trail traverses mainly over forest and mountain tracks. This section of the trail passes through Slishwood which is a very scenic area on the shores of Lough Gill. It offers a panoramic view of the lake through the mixed woodland of the forest.
