The Kilmore Loop starts and finishes from the trailhead that is located inside the gate and pillars at the main entrance beside Ballinspittle Village. The trail uses old tracks that pass under mature sycamores, Douglas and Grand firs. It then moves up through a recently harvested section that has opened up views of Ballycatteen Fort. There are is an option at one of the junctions to take the spur trail to Templetrine Church. Otherwise, the trail loops back down an incline which has is bordered by some lovely beech trees before returning the walker back to the trailhead.
