Multi Access (Drumboe)
On leaving the forest car park at the eastern edge of the forest, cross the road and follow the trail through the broad leaf trees into some of the quieter parts of this wood. This area has many species of trees and shrubs. In spring, look out for blue bells and the smell of wild garlic. The trail continues westward crossing a small forest road to below the car park on the western end of the forest. This was once the site of a 17th century castle. The trail now returns along the river bank to join the nature trail and back to the car park.
Unfortunately in winter parts of this trail may be under water due to high water levels in the river.
