Village Walk
This trail takes the walker from the car park to Sarah’s Bridge and along the southern bank of the river as far as Cromwell’s Bridge. The trail then takes a sharp 90 degree turn to the left past the site of Cabra Village and Flax Mill and returns via the southern perimeter of the park to the starting point. Enroute, the trail passes many of the manmade historical features of the park. These features include Sarah’s Well, Sarah’s Bridge, The Wishing Well, Cromwell’s Bridge, Cabra Cottage, Lady’s Lake, The Icehouse, The Military Barracks and Fleming’s Castle. Great care should be taken near these structures as some of them are unsafe.
