Miner's Way
This Trail takes you into the heart of the forest park.
It begins at the car park and you pass through the parkland area of the park. At the Fairy Bridge you can continue along the lake shore or turn to the left and visit the bog garden or take a leisurely stroll along the canal. Along the trail you will see evergreen oak, lime and majestic red cedars together with the more familiar trees of ash and beech with ancient oak trees to be seen on Drummans Island. There are also
plantations of Norway Spruce to be seen.
This trail affords the walker excellent views of Lough Key.
This trail forms part of the Historical Trail/Miners Way series of walks.
